The Pilates exercise system was designed to achieve fitness gains by targeting some of these same basic areas: core muscle strength, posture, and optimal movement patterns. This makes it a natural fit with Physiotherapy. As a result, Physiotherapists with Pilates Certification are uniquely capable of achieving both fitness and rehabilitative outcomes.

Pilates Physio Style classes are designed to:

  • improve posture and body tone
  • improve flexibility and balance
  • improve pelvic floor function
  • reduce incidence of injury
  • strengthen abdomen muscles during and post pregnancy
  • improve your sports performance, or just your ability to perform everyday activities

Who can benefit from our Pilates classes?

Pilates is for everyone, which means you don’t have to be in perfect shape to attend classes! Pilates is a good choice for patients of every age, with or without lower back pain, pregnant or not. Improving pelvic health, core stability, balance, pain management or fun and relaxing addition to your injury rehabilitation- our classes allow you to achieve both therapeutic and fitness goals at the same time.

Pilates classes are also a great idea for both antenatal and postnatal periods. Pregnancy doesn’t mean that you can’t exercise and have to abandon every activity that gives you joy and relaxation. Pilates will help you prepare for the birth as well as coming back to activity after giving birth.

Depending on your needs and preferences we offer one-to-one or mini-group classes. If you would rather not visit us at the clinic, it’s fine as well! You can sign up for our online Pilates classes and enjoy the training in the comfort of your own home.
